Antique Victorian Sterling Silver Coral Screw Back Earrings

An antique Victorian pair of sterling silver drop earrings set with natural coral. Each earring has a round button-shaped piece of coral at the lobe, suspending a larger teardrop-shaped coral drop.

The earrings have screw-back fittings for non-pierced ears. A jeweller may be able to convert the fittings into studs or drop fittings for pierced ears. They are not clearly stamped or hallmarked and have been acid tested as 925 sterling silver. Partial marks are visible on the screw plates, but they are too blurred to read.
