Hoop earrings may be one of the simplest earring shapes, but older pairs are rarely all the same. Some are fine round hoops, while others are chunky, twisted, patterned or shaped, and smaller close-fitting styles are often described as huggies or Creoles. Size makes a real difference with hoops.
