Vintage earrings are one of the easiest ways to see how jewellery changed through the twentieth century. A neat pearl stud, a chunky gold hoop or a longer gemstone drop can each have a completely different look, even though they all fall within the same period. Here you’ll find vintage earrings in gold, sterling silver and other clearly described materials, with pearls, diamonds, coral, CZ and coloured gemstones appearing across studs, hoops, drops and clip-on styles.
The fittings can be just as varied. Some older pairs have screw backs or clips, while others use posts, hooks or hinged hoops that feel completely familiar today.
