Vintage Platinum 2.70ct Old Cut Diamond Cluster Ring

A large vintage platinum diamond cluster ring set with a natural old-cut centre diamond in an eight-claw setting. Eight smaller round old-cut diamonds alternate with eight baguette-cut diamonds around the centre, creating an impressive cluster measuring approximately 17mm across.

The centre diamond measures approximately 7.6mm and has an estimated weight of approximately 1.50ct. The surrounding diamonds have an estimated combined weight of approximately 1.20ct, giving an estimated total diamond weight of approximately 2.70ct.

Based on its style, the platinum setting is believed to date from around the 1950s and appears to incorporate old-cut diamonds that may be earlier than the mount.

The ring is stamped PLAT and is UK Size K. Its substantial proportions make it suitable as a distinctive vintage engagement ring or statement ring.
