Vintage Platinum 2.70ct Old Cut Diamond Cluster Ring

A large vintage platinum diamond cluster ring set with a natural old-cut centre diamond in an eight-claw setting. Eight smaller round old-cut diamonds alternate with eight baguette-cut diamonds around the centre, creating an impressive 17mm cluster.

The centre diamond measures approximately 7.6mm and has an estimated calculated weight of 1.50ct. The surrounding diamonds have an estimated combined weight of 1.20ct, giving an estimated total diamond weight of approximately 2.70ct. The diamonds are believed to be older than the platinum setting and to have been reset around the 1950s. The ring is stamped PLAT and is UK Size K. Its substantial cluster makes it suitable as a distinctive engagement ring or statement ring.
