Product Description

An antique Victorian sterling silver Albertina chain made with four strands, including two twisted rope strands and two snake-link chains, brought together by a decorative slider. Originally designed as a watch chain, it is complete with a traditional dog clip, T-bar and hanging silver tassel. Its shorter length also makes it suitable for wearing as a bracelet.

The chain measures approximately 8 inches long and weighs 22.7g, with the four-strand section measuring approximately 12.9mm x 2.2mm. The T-bar measures approximately 31.5mm and the tassel 48.8mm. Hallmarked with the lion passant and date letter y for Birmingham 1898, alongside the maker's mark of S Blanckensee & Son Ltd.
